1. BOSCHENDAL

HISTORICAL MANOR HOUSE

A superbly preserved example of the Cape Dutch style, the gables are of the baroque era with gently curves. The arched windows with green shutters make it all the more recognisable. The interior is viewable as a museum.

2.CRYSTAL TOWERS

AT CENTURY CITY

2. THE MARINA - THE WATERFRONT


The Marina apartments were designed by famous Cape Town architect firm, Revel Fox and Partners. The shed-like elements of the penthouses echo the imagery of the waterfront shipping quay architecture.

3. PWC BUILDING


The PWC building at the waterfront was designed by Quantity Surveyors MCC, and featurs an undulating facade of alternating glass and face-brick, in a sophisticated pattern.

4. PARLIAMENT BUILDING AT COMPANY GARDENS


This is something like the central park in New York. It is the historical heart of the city and is surrounded by many buildings of historical significance.

5. CITY HALL


This old fashioned looking building is one of the oldest in the city, and is located right next to the Cape Town Castle. It is still an important public building in use today.

6. DISCOVERY HEADQUARTERS


Located in Sable Park, Century City and designed by decorated architects DHK, this glass box is a ahead of its time in making use of high performance glass. The contrasting resolution of the facade on the different blocks makes for a striking visual impact.

7. MOUILLE POINT LIGHTHOUSE


The Mouille Point lighthouse is a great postcard moment to catch on your way from the City to Seapoint or Green Point park.

8. WATERWAY HOUSE


Designed by top architects DHK, waterway house is one of the most eye-catching buildings in the waterfront. The mosaic like facade, has a shimmering vertical elements and fins.

9. THE CLOCK-TOWER


Designed by the same architects as that of the Crysta Towers hotel, the clock tower has strong round shapes that underpin a large area of the waterfront precinct. Usually it is painted red not yellow.

10. THE SANCTUARY SOMERSET WEST


This L-shaped building looks best at sunset light. It was Designed by SVA architects you will fall in love with this building at first sight. The contemporary stylistic elements are designed to reflect in the waters of the lake it stands on.

11. WATERKLOOF WINE FARM


The winery and restaurant at Waterklook in Somerset West is a major contemporary architecture landmark. It was designed by castle rock architects.
